PREVIEW Eaglecrest Raptors Football Week 1 – Closer look
Week 1, the Eaglecrest Raptors are looking to build from last season's 7-4 record. Watching their electrifying Running Back, Sr. Diego Cearns, was an exciting season. He went on to be named League Offensives Player of the Year.
In this 2023-2024 season, the Raptors have several returning starters. The explosive offensive line will particularly want to pick up where they left off last year with Julien Olivas, Taylen Robinson, and Kael Weatherby. These young men will be the protecting force for this offense and, hopefully, another 1000+ yard rusher. Of course, the defense has the state's top safety and corner returning, Cam Chapa and Cory Jackson Jr.
The Raptors looked like a complete team in last week's scrimmage against Regis, Columbine, and Legacy. We can only hope as this 1st game draws closer to see both sides of the ball be as strong as they were in these scrimmages. In doing so, this should be an exceptional season for the Eaglecrest Raptors.
