Ron 'Punkin" Miller founded and managed the Orioles through 42 legendary seasons, 930 regular season victories, and 6 championships. His love of the game was steadfast and he was a fierce competitor. Punkin believed that character was just as important as talent and built his rosters accordingly. Chemistry was a vital component which he fostered through countless post game gatherings and team dinners. His customary spot on the bench at Egypt Memorial Park will forever remain empty, but his memory will endure through the stories that people will inevitably tell of the times they were fortunate enough to enjoy his company. Farewell Punkin, you will be missed and certainly never replaced.
