The weather wasn't great as mother nature decided it was time for a big dump on the city but that didn't stop the Express as the train kept rolling with a 3-2 victory over the Vics for its 10th consecutive win. Although carrying the majority of the play we found ourselves down 1-0 after the first on a miscue in our end that found its was behind Maroni. That didn't slow us down as we exploded in the 2nd outshooting the Vics 25-6 and scoring 3 unanswered goals, Todoruk and Whiteman on the PP and Sirrell on a great individual effort to take the 2 goal lead into the 3rd. We did a good job protecting the lead as the Vics pressed in the 3rd, a couple late penalties set us back a little allowing the Vics to pull within one on a bouncing puck that found its way in our net. That was all we would allow, skating to the win and a strong 1st half of the season, sitting in 1st place in the MMJHL by 6 points over the Hawks.

Next game is Friday in Charleswood against the 2nd place Hawks and then Sunday the Twins come to Transcona for a couple important match ups.
