Junior hockey in Transcona has roots back to 1972 when the Transcona Titans entered the Manitoba Major Junior League. In 1976 the Railers were concieved, with a new name, new leadership and a new league - Manitoba Junior B. There has been over 37 years of junior hockey in Transcona.

The Railer Express board of directors (all with roots in the community and junior hockey in Transcona) want to foster pride in our community for young and old. Our mandate is to provide a positive, first-class competitive environment for hockey players in our community while allowing them to pursue their education and careers and at the same time build on our community spirit.

Over 500 players have been part of junior hockey in our community. We hope to involve and engage them as supporters of this program for their children and all kids in Transcona.
