Sept 27 - Season opener in St. Boniface

The Express' first period of the season started well with a fast pace and getting on the board with a couple of pretty goals on a redirect by Hooper, with Chudley driving the net, sliding one in. The Riels came back in the second while we took several penalties to put ourselves in a hole and let the Riels take a 3-2 lead.

We started the 3rd down 2 and couldn't kill the the 5 on 3 allowing the Riels to take a 4-2 lead. McLure notched his first of the season to get us to within 1 but that was as close as we could get, dropping our season debut 4-3. 

Express next home game is Sunday Sept 29th agianst the Jets.
